Salam & Hi Lovelies! 

Alright in this post, I'd love to talk about this Based From True Events, 2008 Movie titled 'Changeling', which directed by Clint Eastwood. Have anyone of you had watched it? or maybe if you guys had already read about it's true incident which had inspired this movie?

Well I just wanna share in case you haven't, because I think it's definitely one of the must watch especially for Thrillers / Crime / Drama / Murders / as well as the Based From True Story fans. Ah and of course, one more reason is because Angelina Jolie starred as the main character in this movie, and for those movie addicts like me, this movie scored 7.7 on IMDB, so yeah you know this movie is worth to watch. To be honest, I actually had encountered / reading about the case first before I watched this movie, interesting haha as which usually it's the other way around - I'll only know and search for the case after watching it's based from true story movie heheh. It's been years since I read about it, and then the moment I found out that Changeling was out and was based from that Collins case, I immediately wanna watch it, and glad that I have at the time! Now, I've found that the movie is recently had been added to Netflix, so I guess if you haven't watch it yet, you can try to find and watch it there on Netflix as well okayy.

Basically, this movie is about the Collins family - the disappearing of a 9 years old Walter Collins on March 1928, which had turned to be such sensation during that time. It started with a brief moments of the Collins together, before reeled us upon this single mother (Christine Collins) journey from the moment she found out that her son (Walter Collins) was missing, then the problems with such corrupt authorities and how she fought them back ever since she knew that the authorities had brought back the wrong boy to her, as she insisted that the boy wasn't her son from day one and wanted them to keep on looking for her real son. The authorities kept on dismissed her, tried to turned it on her, and even worst, had illegally put her in psycho ward as well when she started to voice out her concerns to more people, including gathered legit documentations as proof and to standing up upon herself. Apparently, the disappearance of Walter Collins also linked to the Wineville Chicken Coop Murders, which was the pedophile serial killer case at the time. Yet Christine still have hope and chose to believe that her son was alive, and loyally waited for her son.

I know it might sound heavy for some, but I think it's safe to watch since the movie goes on lightly and swiftly from plot to plot, yet can fill you in with the right emotions. No gore scenes, no nasty scenes / languages and all (well it's based from the year 1928 so yes you know how polite everyone is during the 20's right) yet indeed, interesting. In addition, this movie's script was based from numerous real documentation of both Collins case and the Wineville Murders - ie the hearing transcript, archive documents and all, rounding about 6000 pages. Whew, can you imagine? As a results, they did made such detailed movie tailored well with it's each cases, which definitely deserves such recognitions. Well even Angelina Jolie had won an award for her character as Christine Collins in this movie by the way hehe. Okay for those whom didn't know about the real said cases, let me pour their real stories one by one, started with the Collins case okay? Let's go :

THE DISAPPEARANCE OF WALTER COLLINS

On March 10, 1928, Walter Collins went missing after his mom, Christine Collins, gave him some money to go to the cinema. The LAPD had followed up yet unfortunately, no success to solve the case. After 5 months, they had found a boy who claimed to be Walter, at Illnois. After exchanging letters and photograph, Christine Collins paid the expanses for the boy to be brought to her at LA.

At the reunion, Christine Collins told them that the boy wasn't her son, Walter, but the officer in charge, Captain J.J. Jones convinced her to just take the boy home and 'try the boy out'. Three weeks later, she returned to them and again, saying that the boy was not her son. Jones accused her of being a bad mother, and being ridicule to the police. He then sent her to the psychiatric ward at Los Angeles County Hospital, on which she had been committed under "code 12" - a term used to jail or committed someone whom had been inconvenience or difficult. 

Still, Jones questioned the boy wether he was really Walter or not. At first the boy said yes, but then he admitted that he was not the real Walter, as he was actually a runaway from Iowa, a 12 years old Arthur Hutchen Jr. He also said that he was posing as Walter because he want to get to Hollywood, so he could meet his favourite actor, Tom Mix. After 10 days Hutchen admitted he was posing as Walter, finally Christine Collins was released from the ward. She then filed a lawsuit against the LAPD and won against Jones, which awarded her with $10800 from winning that lawsuit but it was never been paid by Jones.

THE WINEVILLE CHICKEN COOP MURDERS 

This series of abductions and murders of young boys happened between 1926 to 1928, at LA and Riverside County, California. The murderer, Gordon Stewart Northcott had built a chicken ranch and a house on a land in Wineville, at Riverside County. He has his nephew, Sanford Clark, staying there to help him but he began to beat and sexually abuse his nephew, then continually to did other crimes of kidnapping and more with other young boys that he brought there too.

In August 1928, Clark's older sister, Jessie, came there from Canada to visit and so Clark manage to told his sister that he feared for his life and also that 4 boys had been murdered by Northcott at that ranch. The moment Jessie had returned to Canada one week later, she informed an American consul there of Northcott's crimes. The consul then wrote a letter to LAPD detailing Jessie's sworn information. Since there was some concern over an immigration issue, the LAPD contacted US Immigration Service to determine the next move.

On the end of August 1928, two Immigration Service inspectors visited the ranch and took Clark into custody. Northcott had seen the agents earlier driving on the road to his ranch, hence he told Clark to stall them when they got there or he will shoot Clark, then he fleeing along the treeline and kept running to save himself. When Clark felt like the agents could protect him, he then told them that Northcott had fled. 

Northcott and his mother, Sarah Louise, had fled to Canada but were arrested near Vernon on September 19, 1928. Clark testified at Sarah Louise's sentencing that Northcott had kidnapped, molested, bitten, and killed 3 young boys with the help of Sarah Louise and himself. Clark also testified about the murder of a Mexican citizen young man, which Northcott had forced Clark to help disposed of the victim's head by burning it in a fire pit and then crushing the skull. Northcott stated that he "left the headless body by the side of the road near Puente because he had no other place to put it." He also stated that quicklime was used to disposed of the remains and the bodies were buried in the ranch.

Authorities had found 3 shallow graves at the ranch exactly like where Clark stated it. However, they only discovered parts of bodies, which were 51 parts of human anatomy consists of bones and blood as well to be exact. It was learned that the bodies had been dug up by Northcott and his mother on the evening of August 4, a few weeks before Clark was taken into protective custody. Apparently they had taken the bodies out to deserted area, and most likely burned those in the middle of the night. The complete bodies were never found.

Canadian police arrested Northcott and his mother on September 19, 1928. Sarah Louise confessed to the murders, including that of Walter Collins. But she then retracted her confession, as did Northcott whom had confessed to killed more than 5 boys. She was then again confessed and pleaded guilty to killed Walter, and then had been sentenced to life imprisonment on December 31.

It was speculated that Northcott had killed more than 20 boys, but no evidence can be produced hence he was only been convicted of those 4 murders that been identified earlier, along with that the jury had heard he kidnapped, molested and tortured those victims as well. He was sentenced to death and was hanged on October 2, 1930 at the age of 23 years old.

Christine were hopeful that her son was still alive since Gordon Northcott had denied killing the boy. She then concluded that Walter was still alive because she thought Northcott was insane and he seems to not know whether he had even met Walter.

Later then, Christine received a telegram from Northcott shortly before his execution, saying that he lied before and will tell her the truth regarding Walter's fate when she came down to meet him there in prison. So Christine went there and managed to visited Northcott just few hours before his execution, but he recanted at Christine, resisted to see her and just repeating that he doesn't know anything, as well as saying that he's innocent. 

Christine pour her outrage as Northcott seemed to refused to remember the details about Walter such as the boy's eyes colour and his cloths, yet then she silently hoping that her son was truly still alive. She then was more encouraged when another boy made appearances and spoken to the authorities with his parents, 5 years after Northcott's execution. The boy was missing 7 years earlier and the authorities speculated that he was one of the murder victims as well at the time.

Up until today, no one knows whether was Christine right in regards of Walter was really still alive, or maybe the authorities were right being Walter was one of Northcott's victims, since in Sanford Clark's testimony had stated that Walter was one of the three other boys aside from the headless victim which ever been held and murdered at the ranch. Clark also never stated of a boy escaped the ranch. Through all these years, Walter was never been found yet Christine had kept on waited and searched for him, the rest of her life. 

So, those are the detailed story of these real events from this movie. There are some minor differences if we compare between the case's facts and what was shown in the movie, such as the facts about the boys that managed to escaped - it was shown in the movie when this one boy came out and spoken with the authorities, but truth is based from the historical records and testimony, Sanford Clark never told / stated that. Then, in the movie, they didn't add any character of Northcott's mother nor ever mention her as accomplice, but that's okay as I think that's the way to cut things short a little bit. It's okay as the storyline is still shown to us perfectly and we still get the other facts around.

Overall, I do think this is a good movie to watch. It managed to filled me with various of emotion while watching, and most scenes including the ending was nicely done too. It followed the true facts closely, and able to deliver in structured and easy-to-follow kinda plot. This movie round up around 2 hour, so yes, it might seems too long but once you start watching, you'll gradually wanna keep on watching till the end. I know I have poured major spoilers in my writing here but you just gotta watch it yourselves in order to really get what I've been talking about here heheh. Angelina Jolie is always deliver her best and indeed, she suits splendidly as this Christine Collin character in this movie. I also see Christine Collin as a strong woman and mother, just look at how resilient she was while facing through every of this hardship. She was filled with hope and never give up in search for her son, and indeed I admired that as I believe it's truly painful to lose our child, let alone without any direction or affirmation to be hold on to.

The thing that made me ponder is, how dangerously these pedophile are even from those 20's. They could easily lose themselves without us being notice of what they did (you might catch this one dialog from Northcott in the movie stating something like that too huuu), which as same as how it is in today's world. Yet I think these modern time are far way dangerous as they got advance tools and all especially technology, to equipped themselves and make their move. Looking back at all the news that we heard, watched, upon what these culprits does, I just hope we can take extra care and precaution, and may more NGO or authorities around the world coming up with variety of ways and ideas upon how to catch these sickos, as well as discussing the laws upon them or whatever that related to it - yes including such sick movies etc that portrayed to support pedophile.

Alright this time I wanna share about this movie that I just watched
earlier, Swallow. It's more into a psychological and drama genre,
since it's clearly shows those aspects a lot in this movie.
Before you proceed, I gotta warn you that this talk include such
massive spoiler regarding this movie okayy, so if you haven't
watch it yet and planning to, read at your own risk okay hehe.

Some of the casts

Alright for those whom haven't watch, this movie is about Hunter,
a stay at home wife whom married a wealthy guy. Soon, she's pregnant
but picking up with such strange habit of eating things that she shouldn't -
or having Pica - the eating / psychiatric disorder in more accurate terms.
She started with ice cubes, which I think is somehow normally relatable,
then going on with more strange and up to dangerous things, such as
a small marble ball, the pin it thing, battery, paper, even dirts and oh dear god
it's literally everything that you shouldn't be eating and can harm yourself.

The visual for this Pica moment in this movie is great, I praise it really as
we can feel like she's really taking them, you know.
Like you get that uneasy feeling, the cautious feeling, the yucky and all that.
It might call up for some graphic disturbance for some people I guess
but as for me, nope, it's not that extreme but it's good, it's help you to
address the habits, like, not feeling fake or something, the urgencies, you know.

So I did some reading regarding Pica, I found that this disorder is actually
more common in children than in adults, but the exact prevalence in adults
is unknown. If it's occurs in adults, it tends to be associated with
intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia or pregnancy.
Other factors that said to be associated with Pica are anemia and low levels
of education, which also associated to the low economic background as well.
By far, the treatment that one could get if they're suspected with Pica is by
monitoring their eating habits, correcting the poor nutritions and cravings,
and also close collaboration with mental health team and more.

Alright back to this movie, hehe, I think it's brilliant because it showed us
many aspects in our life, or someone's life, that perhaps we don't know
or cared enough about, yet it's important. Indeed understanding the mental
health is really are important and could give such huge impact on one's life.
This movie definitely screams for mental health awareness, and the
acknowledgement of it is truly are the essence.

Everyone had their own past, their own beginning, and their own family issues.
Little that you know, those usually are the starter pack for wether a good mental
health or not or so, you know. He or she might seems fine, happy, content,
but always look out for their mental health.

In this movie, from the surfaces of Hunter's life, we might thought that she's lucky,
that we wanted to be like in her place and all, yeah the wealthy life, generally good in laws,
stay at home without worries, yada yada, but when we can see it deeper, for me,
I can see how lonely she is, how unhappy she is, and how she needed love and support
or compassion from the people around her, but that's not really what she get.

Watch out for her face expression during this scene.

definitely showed all of the exhaustion she bear.

They (mostly the husband) often sounded like downgraded her, sometimes it's like she's nothing,
like, hmm I guess you'll get it when you watch it. Then when her past been revealed,
it feels like it came more to the pieces, you know. The connection of what happened, then
how was she throughout that until she got married and everything.
Yeah I hope u get what I said when you've watch it later yeah hehe.

So, from my point of view, in order to regain her own motivation, her own self confident
or you know, the feeling to wanna feels like you've achieve something, you're someone special,
you can do / control things, yeah things like that, urge her into that Pica disorder.

Instead of trying to understand or getting close and helping in a fruitful way, they
tend to drove her away more - like when her husband scolded her after
they (he and his family) found out about her Pica eating habits, and even blackmailed
to divorce if she refuse to follow their plan upon going to stay at the psychiatry house
for many months. I know that's not really a bad thing but the way they handled it
or approach is not right, you know.

Well the husband wasn't really a good husband from the start, as he often neglected
her emotionally, like not really paying attention during their conversation or
spend time together, and the most bitchy thing that her husband did once they knew
about her condition is that he told everyone at his office about his wife's disorder,
and, trying to own it like he did the right thing.
Yeah you gotta watch the birthday party's scene huhu.

Indeed, basically, the way of the approach, help, is like, they didn't know about
mental health, like, guys, they should have different approach in order to help.
Like even the helper / bodyguard Luay seemed more compassionate to help
her, as well as the gentle, talking method by her psychiatrist in each of her visits.

I gotta say bravo to Haley Bennet (starring as Hunter) because she carried her character
well enough. This Hunter character had developed smooth and great throughout the movie,
as well as others. The ending is understandable as well, not sure bout what you guys
will think of it but I gotta say, that's understandable as in perhaps her way of starting
a new life. In addition, somehow, I kinda stand with her decision before the ending scene
of which she's not falling for her husband speeches right before he went mad again
after that haha but yess, good for you girl.

Well, overall, it's a great movie indeed. Might be heavy for some people but it's not for me.
The issues aren't like the usual indeed yet that's what I like about this movie as well.
Kinda reminisce me of the Joker movie (which I don't find it as heavy as well),
but this one is more into marriage vibes. If you love a movie that can make you think
wether a lot or yeah a fruitful of it, be it during or after watching,
then yes I think this one can suits you too. I'm indeed basically a fan of psychological
genre, indeed especially psycho thriller but this kind of psycho is definitely on my list too.
One can learn a lot from such psychology related movies or series, and even books too.

So, it's been a while I'm not doing this right - talk about a movie that I've watched, 

what I get out of it that I think might benefits us all, 

from my point of view. 

Those whom been following me here might know what I'm talking bout, yeah? 

hehe mehh I don't know if anyone remember though. 

Okay so for this post, 

I'd like to talk about the movie 'It's Kind of a Funny Story' - it's actually kinda funny at some part, 

but to be honest, 

I do like it as what it delivered - the messages that it gave us, to think, to be thankful for, 

and mostly, to live. 

(aside from Emma Roberts starring in it as well hehe.)

TRIVIA 

👉🏿 this movie scored 7.1/10 on IMDB guys! 

Those movie nuts like me out there must know what that means right! 😃

👉🏿 it's amazing how their shooting period was only about 6 weeks! 

👉🏿 It's an adaptation from Ned Vizzini's 2006 novel of the same title, 

where the book was inspired by Vizzini's own brief hospitalisation for depression in Nov 2004. 

In 2013, Vizzini committed suicide at the age of 32 by jumping off the roof of his parents's buidling. 

I know, as human, we all have our own kind of stress, depression and all. 

That includes how we manage it as well, 

some shows, some confused, some just fragile, etc. 

To thought about suicide, 

I think it's already became a common thing in certain area, 

yet at some place, 

I believe they're hiding - hopefully getting help as well (I really do hope so).

So, yeah, this movie is about a teenage boy, Craig, whom thought of (and on his way to) kill himself but went to the hospital for help instead. 

Since he insisted for help, 

the doctor admitted him to the psychiatric ward, 

but, since the teen psych ward is on renovation, 

he have to join the rest of them in the adult psych ward!

Now here's the fun begin, 

since after a few moment that he arrived there he saw how awful and messed up those people are, 

he just realised that he doesn't wanna be there at all, 

but problem is, 

he couldn't go home as he have to stay for at least 5 days minimum. 

Indeed, he have to adjust himself and starting to blending in. 

This guy Bobby, being good and helping Craig blending in though it's not in a regular way, 

hmm how should I put it, let's just say it's in a really casual, not straight forward way - and yes I do think he's (Bobby) a wise man there indeed, 

aside from all of the sadness that I saw in him. 

Despite his meltdown scene and all. 

Somehow, I think this Bobby character was Ned's (the author) projecting himself at some point, creating another version and illusion of himself a little bit, 

yeah idk how to put it. 

Well, that's another story. 

Okay so then, Craig started to feel fine and belong, 

and this and that happens, other plot and all, 

well I'm not trying to be or sound cliche here, 

but despite the moment he started to feel well, 

there's up and down, well, 

that is when you get the wisdom from it the most. 

And it's plot, is happen to be enjoyable, 

it's not really make me feel like 

'okay he's getting better then this and that or oh that, 

then must be that' kinda thingy you know, 

but, it's all enjoyable to watch till the end of the movie. 

Of course, you guys should watch it yourselves if in case you're not watching it yet, hehe. 

Oh I watched it on Netflix, 

when it was just in at the moment 

yet it's not the latest movie out there yea guys, 

so yeah I think you can find it around somewhere too.

Okay, so, my point from this movie is, 

firstly, I really love the scene of when Bobby and Craig playing the basketball. 

What Bobby had deliver that moment is just deep, 

and it's true, of what he said. 

The moment that really get to me, really touched me is when Bobby finally answered to Craig that he's there, because he's suicidal. 

He actually tried to kill himself 6 times before. 

Then, Craig said to him that he was actually 

trying to kill himself too but he went there instead. 

So Bobby ask, 

'What stopped you?'. 

Craig answered, 

'My family, I think. 

You know, my parents, and my sister. 

Just knowing how bad it will messed them up.' 

Then, Bobby replied, 

'See, that's the part I don't get, Craig. 

I mean, you're cool, you're smart, you're talented, 

you have a family that loves you,'...

If you've been watching this movie from the start, 

I believe you might feel the extra-ness in this scene, 

deep down, at least. 

Somehow, it makes me feels like, 

to always remember on how important it is to live, 

just live, in the moment, no matter what I've been facing through or what my future might holds. 

Familiar with those talks about how everything gonna be alright, how to be thankful since there's always someone out there whom experiencing far worst than us now, how, what else? 

well, those everything in between, you know, 

those kinda talks that sometimes could get through you but sometimes it just makes you feel like 

'yeah easier for you to say when you got everything, 

when you're this, when you're that, yada yada', right? 

Yet this scene right here, just kinda absorb everything - those kind of talk thingy - into me. 

Sometimes I do think that, 

if someone is in a bad place or worst place than me, 

then those kinda talk could work much better than those whom like already get everything, 

whom life seems greater than me, 

whom luckier in every ways and all, you know,. 

Yeah I'm not sure if you guys could get that since sometimes it kinda twisted a bit, but, point is, 

look at this Bobby character, and compare it with you, your life. 

I bet we're much like Craig here, averagely, 

than to Bobby. 

I mean, our problem, or what we've been stressing out or worrying or so, 

isn't that much of a hell, 

I mean, it usually could be solved, 

or it does have it perks someway, 

it's just that we just need to sit back, reflect, and chill. 

As a Muslim, 

we surely believe that He knows greater, too. 

So either if we're not in our desired path, 

or if we've been facing some difficulties, 

or something heavier happened to us that seems like we couldn't take it, 

we gotta remember, 

always remember and believes, 

that, He truly are knows best, 

and just give in time to adjust ourselves due to whatever situation we're in. 

Just live. 

Make what's best in every of our breath. 

Seriously, 

live like it meant something, 

because it does! ❤

Another one is that when they quoted Bob Dylan's 

'He not busy being born, is busy dying'. 

In this movie though, it seems related enough and deep, really, of that sentence. 

It just kinda powerful - well more like right place right time but watching all those plots, 

reflecting your own life and all, 

it kinda give an impact a bit. 

It could be vary, 

depends on your own situation, 

of that born and dying word could mean. 

Some people, might have to stop feeling sorry for themselves and start living by doing whatever that could brings out the positivity in them, 

some people might have to kick away their self doubt 

and adapt confidence in every other way by perhaps doing what they're good at, 

while some other people, 

being born by helping or putting others before them, 

in order to make sure those people will be doing just fine, 

and by doing that, 

helps to feels good about one's life and perhaps, 

finding their purposes as well. 

Indeed, it just vary, yet, could be applied to all. 

There are lots of other points that could be learn / reflect in our life or self from this movie, and since I do think this movie is enjoyable as well, so yeah feel free to watch it yourselves and let me know what do you think too, yeah? 

I just wish they could extend a bit at the end upon how's Bobby gonna be after that um but nevermind, 

I guess perhaps they think it's better that way then, letting us to decide which far to think.

Today I would like to share some interesting facts behind some horror movies, 
especially the latest hit entitled 'The Conjuring' :)
Well, if u're a horror movies fans, u might be familiar
with these two hits : Annabelle (The Conjuring), and Chucky (Child's Play).
Okay let's start with the Annabelle first shall we? :)

ANNABELLE

This doll made her 'film appearance' and been named Annabelle, while her
real name is called 'the Raggedy Ann doll'. If  u have watched The Conjuring,
then I believed u knew the Annabelle story, right?
But here's the original doll - the Raggedy Ann doll's story.

Raggedy Ann is a fictional character created by American writer Johnny Gruelle 
(1880–1938) in a series of books he wrote and illustrated for young children. 
Raggedy Ann is a rag doll with red yarn for hair and has a triangle nose. 
The character was created in 1915 as a doll, and was introduced to the public in 
the 1918 book Raggedy Ann Stories. A doll was also marketed along with the book 
to great success. A sequel, Raggedy Andy Stories (1920) introduced the character of her brother, Raggedy Andy, dressed in sailor suit and hat.

Gruelle created Raggedy Ann for his daughter, Marcella, when she brought him 
an old hand-made rag doll and he drew a face on it. From his bookshelf, he pulled a 
book of poems by James Whitcomb Riley, and combined the names of two poems, 
"The Raggedy Man" and "Little Orphant Annie." 
He said, "Why don't we call her Raggedy Ann?"
Marcella died at age 13, shortly after being vaccinated at school for smallpox without 
her parents' consent. Authorities blamed a heart defect, but her parents blamed the vaccination. Gruelle became an opponent of vaccination, and the Raggedy Ann doll 
was used as a symbol by the anti-vaccination movement.

Raggedy Ann dolls were originally handmade. Later, PF Volland, a Gruelle book publisher, made the dolls. In 1935 Volland ceased operation and Ann and Andy were made under Gruelle's permission by Exposition Dolls, and without permission (during legal limbo) 
by MollyE's Dolls, resulting in Gruelle v (Mollye) Goldman.
It appears that many books were released and credited to Johnny Gruelle after his death, regardless of who actually wrote and illustrated them. 
Noted artist Ethel Hays illustrated most of the stories that were published 
beginning in 1944 by the Saalfield Publishing Company.

Gruelle's home town, Arcola, Illinois, is the former home of the annual Raggedy Ann & Andy Festival and the Raggedy Ann and Andy Museum. 
The museum was closed and the festival discontinued in 2009. Some of the museum's contents were donated to the Strong National Museum of Play; other parts of the collection are still in Arcola at Rockome Gardens theme park.
On March 27, 2002, Raggedy Ann was inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame.
In October 1986, Raggedy Ann, The Musical Adventure, starring Ivy Austin, opened on Broadway at The Nederlander Theater.

Raggedy Ann was parodyed on the stop-motion, comedy show Robot Chicken by 
depicting a fictional suicide by steam press.

CHUCKY

Another doll equally as disturbing as Annabelle lives in the Fort East Martello Museum in Key West, Fla. In the Child's Play movie it's named 'Chucky' while the real doll
was 'Robert the Haunted Doll' - which was said to be the inspiration behind Chucky
who tried to kill his owners in attempts of becoming a real child.
Here's the story of Robert the Haunted Doll :

Robert the Haunted Doll used to be owned by Robert Eugene Otto. 
The doll was allegedly a gift to Eugene in 1906 by a Bahamian servant who was skilled in black magic and voodoo and was displeased with the family. Soon afterward, it became clear that there was something eerie about the doll.
Eugene's parents first thought nothing of the doll until they heard their son talking to the 
doll and Robert talking back in a deep and sinister voice. 
Although at first they assumed that Eugene was simply answering himself in a changed voice, they later believed that the doll was actually speaking.

Neighbors claimed to see the doll moving from window to window when the family was out. The Otto family swore that sometimes the doll would emit a terrifying giggle and that they caught glimpses of it running from room to room. In the night Eugene would scream, and when his parents ran to the room, they would find furniture knocked over and Eugene in bed, looking incredibly scared, telling them that "Robert did it!". 
In addition, guests swore that they saw Robert's expression change before their eyes.
Out of options, Eugene's parents locked Robert the doll in the attic.
Eventually, Eugene grew up, married and sold off the estate leaving the doll in the attic. 
A new family moved in with a 10-year-old daughter who found the doll in the attic. 
It was not long before the girl began screaming out in the night, claiming that Robert moved about the room and even attempted to attack her on multiple occasions. More than thirty years later, she still tells interviewers that the doll was alive and wanted to kill her.


Like Annabelle, Robert the Haunted Doll is kept in a glass case. 
Anyone wanting to take a photo of him must ask for permission, if not, 
they said that the person taking the photo would eventually be cursed.
